Small Group Homes

These resources can accommodate a maximum of 3 and 4 young people of both gender (although one home is only for female residents).

The homes have a staffing compliment of an off rota Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, 2 shift leaders and up to 6 Residential Support Workers.

All staff work a flexible rota that provides at least two workers on duty during the day and one on 'sleep-in' duty at night (in a home that accommodates 3 young people) or 3 workers on duty during the day and 2 on sleep in overnight (in a 4 young person home).

Additional staff and waking night care can also be provided should the care plan necessitate this. In an emergency the Clifford House On Call System has a number of experienced staff who volunteer when off duty to respond to any developing situation immediately.
The Registered Manager (who is NVQ Level 4 qualified or working towards) has responsibility for the daily running of the house.

All staff are employed by the organisation, agency staff are never used, and only those members of staff who have successfully completed their induction programme are used to meet the minimum staff cover requirements.
