Residential Placements
A safe, secure environment for the most vulnerable of looked after children
Clifford House provides flexible packages of residential care and education to young people with complex emotional and related behavioural difficulties in fully inspected and well-established resources. These are small family-style homes accommodating a maximum of 4 young people.
When young people are admitted to a Clifford House resource, they are often short on confidence, have low self-esteem and can be ill-equipped to form and sustain positive relationships.
Generally they can’t function to their full capability either socially, emotionally or intellectually and, as a result, are extremely vulnerable.
Working in such small numbers lets us give specific attention to the particular needs of each young person in our care. Our aim is to provide placements that offer warmth and stability and that allow relationships with staff and other young people to develop.
All of our properties are typical detached family houses that are not identifiable as children's homes. They have well tended gardens and are usually situated on the outer edges of their respective towns and villages.
The properties provide each young person with a shared living area and their own bedroom that they are encouraged to personalise, if they so choose, with appropriate momentos or photographs of their families and friends.
Our resources are based in the counties of Herefordshire, Worcerstershire, Shropshire, Powys and Warwickshire.
