Residential Placements
Our philosophy is based on the belief that there is a better way to care for young people who have experienced trauma than to place them in large groups with other emotionally damaged youngsters.
We believe that the needs of our young people can best be addressed by providing a safe, supportive environment in typical family houses that accommodate a maximum of 4 young people.
Such small numbers mean we can give specific attention to the particular individual needs of each young person and, by doing so, we find that placements are less likely to break down.
This clearly helps to avoid frequent changes of placements that can be difficult, time-consuming and expensive for the Placing Authority and also detrimental to the child’s progress and well-being.
Clifford House strives to maximise the potential of each young person placed in line with the Every Child Matters agenda.
Placement costs vary depending on the type of placement and the staffing ratio involved in providing the direct care however Clifford House can provide you with standard unit prices for a range of care packages. We aim to provide flexible packages of care and education, which adapt to the changing needs of the young person as we are keen to work with our purchasers to ensure that we provide the
best value for money.
If we can make efficiencies in the use of resources without compromising the quality of care provided then we aim to do so, driven by our constant quality assurance process and our proposed ‘Service Improvement Board’.
