Enhanced Support Units

These units are large fully modernised detached properties, which stand in their own substantial grounds. There are both 3-bedded and 4-bedded Enhanced Support units which provide one-to-one staffing.

They are intended as a medium to long stay resource for a maximum of 3 or 4 young people who have been assessed as benefiting from a focused, highly structured basis. It is a resource where planned interventions can always take place regardless of the management issues relating to other residents.

The young people placed in these resources have been pre-assessed by Clifford House as benefiting from an environment where they do not have to compete for staff attention whilst living in a group setting.

Unlike the Initial Assessment Unit young people are encouraged where appropriate to integrate without staff supervision within the local community, however such integration is usually achieved following careful planning and implementation.
