Clifford House always aim to provide a quick and flexible response to referrals and our Assessment / Same Day Referral Unit can accept emergency, same-day or out-of-hours referrals if a suitable placement is available.

This service is intended to provide immediate safety, security and comfort for looked after children in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances - or if the child or young person has to be removed immediately from another placement - and no suitable arrangements can be made elsewhere.

Whether the emergency placement is required for a matter of hours or if it extends to last for several days or even weeks, Clifford House will help resolve the crisis as a first step towards finding an alternative placement that is in the best interests and may, ultimately, contribute to a better outcome for the child concerned.
